Below, I’ve shared 5 architect-designed living room floor plan ideas with a sectional and a recliner to help you better visualize different furniture layouts you can use.
18×16 Open-Concept Living Room Layout With Sectional and Recliner
This open-plan layout maintains an easy flow around the seating at a comfortable viewing distance from the TV, while maintaining a stylish design that delineates the living area from the remainder of the space.
Layout Details: Designed for a large open space that connects to a room like the kitchen or dining room, this plan features a TV focused layout that’s excellent for large families or entertaining guests. the sectional is positioned in the upper left corner of the room with room behind for a console table and pathway. A coffee table is centrally placed in line with the sofa. To the side is a recliner placed at a 45 degree angle to the television set. The entire setup is positioned to face the TV stand and allows for adequate pathways around the furniture to maintain an open feel, while promoting a designated living room space.
