Square Master Bathroom Layouts with Dual Sink Vanities
Sharing a bathroom should feel easy, and with the right floor plan, it’s possible. One of the ways to eliminate stress on busy mornings is by having dual sink vanities. In a square master bathroom, they can balance the room and give each person their own defined space and storage to match. The result is a calm flow that speeds up the dressing routine and leads to more happiness. This guide shares some of my square master bathroom layouts with double sink vanities that use common footprints you can copy in your own home. You’ll see how to place the vanities for functional flow, where to place the toilet for more privacy, how to separate wet and dry zones, and proper fixture placement so you have a bathroom design you love.
10×10 Square Bathroom Layout with Corner Shower and Dual Vanity
This 100 sq ft. plan makes the most of its limited space because it reserves a wide center aisle for grooming, a private toilet nook, and a standalone shower and tub for a design that delivers great flow, privacy, and two-user functionality.
Floor Plan Details: This 10′×10′ square bathroom separates tasks into three zones with the sink, near the entry, a private water closet, and tub or shower bathing options toward the back. The wet bathing zone runs along the left side, featuring a 42″×42″ corner placed, neo-angle shower at the top, and a 60″ soaking tub below. The 72″ dual vanity grooming zone sits opposite the shower on the right, top side, near the entrance. On the lower right corner is a private water closet with a large 48″ pathway between the sinks and toilet area. With this arrangement, sight lines stay open, and there’s plenty of room to spread out, so two people can use the room comfortably without feeling crowded.
Dimensions:
- Room size: 10′ × 10′ (100 sq ft)
- Corner shower: 42″ × 42″ neo-angle in the corner
- Alcove tub: 60″ × 28″
- Double vanity base: 72″ wide × 24″ deep

- Center aisle between vanity and shower/tub run: 48″
- Door offset/clearance at entry near vanity end: 28″
- Working space in front of tub: 40″
Design Tips:

- Keep sightlines open: Use a shower enclosure with frameless glass to make the 48″ aisle feel wider.
- Lighting layers: Pair vanity sconces at eye level on either side of the sinks, with a dimmable ceiling light over the main aisle, and a moisture-rated downlight in the shower.
- Vanity storage: Use a bank of drawers in the vanity for storing individual items for each person.
- Drying and towel reach: Place double hooks for towels or robes just outside the shower glass and another bar near the tub.
- Water closet privacy: If swing clearance is tight, swap the water-closet door for a pocket or bifold style.
- Surface choice: Use large-format floor tile to visually widen the room.
- Ventilation: Give the toilet area its own fan to prevent humidity build-up and size the main exhaust for the full 100 sq ft.
12×12 Luxurious Square Bathroom with Central Tub Floor Plan
By focusing all of the attention on a centered, freestanding tub with an expansive vanity that takes up a full wall, and an enclosed shower and toilet area, this couple-minded bathroom design creates the feel of complete luxury, privacy, and resort-style symmetry.
Floor Plan Details: This 12′×12′ luxury bath centers a 60″ x 28″ freestanding tub to create a spa focal point and features an upper wall that is taken by one long double sink vanity that gives an abundance of elbow room. Framing each side of the vanity are two slim wall cabinets for linens or bathroom essentials. On the lower side are the wet room elements, which are split between a large 72″×38″ shower enclosure on the left behind a sliding door, and a private water closet behind a swing door on the right. The entry lands you in an open central plaza facing the tub with plenty of room so two people can easily move around without feeling a pinch.

- Layered lighting: Pair vanity sconces at eye level with a chandelier or modern pendant fixture over the tub at a code-compliant height. Reinforce this with additional recessed lighting in the shower and water closet.
- Luxury features. To increase the spa feel, add a radiant heated flooring system, and place a towel rack with a heated rail within the 24″ side clearance.

11×11 Modern Bathroom with Split Vanities Floor Plan
With split vanities on either side of the entrance, this plan frees up a wide central corridor and tucks the shower and toilet into their own rooms for true two-person functionality and separation..
Floor Plan Details: This 11′×11′ modern layout uses split vanities so each person has their own “side”, which is especially useful for those looking for their own space to get ready. Since the entrance lies at the top between those sinks, the center of the room stays open to help speed up morning routines. Each of the two single vanities has its own mirror, cabinet storage and task lighting. The plan pushes the “wet” fixtures to the lower side with a roomy 48″×60″ shower on the right and a private water closet on the left.
Dimensions:
- Room size: 11′ × 11′ (121 sq ft)
- Entry door: 28″ centered between vanities; 4′ span between vanities
- Left/Right vanity depth: 24″
- Shower stall: 48″ × 60″
- Water closet room: 36″ × 63″
- Center clearances: 5.5′ from the left vanity to the shower’s partition and 4.5′ from the right vanity to the shower wall

- Upgrade the storage: Choose drawer-heavy vanity models and pair with a slim wall cabinet at each end for personal items.
- Glass the shower enclosure: Frameless glass will keep the area visually open.
- Add obscure glass to the enclosure. If more privacy is needed, add a frosted or coated glass treatment to increase the shower’s inside brightness.

- Moisture management: Give the shower compartment its own fan separate from the main exhaust.
- Lighting layers: Mirror the light fixtures at both sink and overhead.
- Add recessed mirrored cabinets over the sink.

The wet zone lives on the right side with a 66″×30″ freestanding tub on the top and a separate 60″×48″ shower on the bottom. 14×14 Elegant Bathroom with Dual Islands Design
By giving each person their own separate vanity wing and shower entrance, this creates a balanced symmetry that provides a resort-level function, flow, and privacy.
Floor Plan Details: This interesting 14′×14′ (196 sq ft) primary bathroom layout puts the “wow” factor at the center with two freestanding vanity islands so each person has their own semi-private grooming station. As you enter the bathroom from the right, you’ll find two paired 48″×24″ peninsulas facing each other with a center dividing wall. Each vanity peninsula juts out from the dual-entry 7′×4′ glass pavilion-style walk-in shower located at the top of the room. This arrangement allows two people to get ready at once without sharing any of their counter space. The tub soak zone sits at the lower left with a 72″×28″ tub for those wanting to luxuriate in a bath rather than a shower. Sharing the bottom wall on the right sits a 3′×6′ water closet for additional privacy and odor control. Walkways wrap cleanly around the islands and through the center of the space, so there’s plenty of room to navigate the space without feeling cramped.
Dimensions:
- Room size: 14′ × 14′ (196 sq ft)
- Vanity islands (each): 48″ W × 24″ D
- Shower: 7′ × 4′
- Tub: 72″ × 28″
- Water closet: 3′ × 6′
- Entry door: 28″
- Clearances (approx.): 38″ in the center between the tub/WC and vanities; side aisles around the islands are 57″, and tightening to 44″ at the shower entrances.
Design Tips:
- Treat the islands like furniture: Use finished backs, luxury stone tops and large basins to continue the high-end feel.
- Symmetry sells the spa feel: Align ceiling fixtures, either downlights or a linear chandelier with the centerlines of the shower and both islands.
- Keep it light and airy: Go for a frameless glass at the shower to create an inviting focal point.
- Install an open shower. Use a low curb or curbless entry with a slope to a linear drain for a more open feel instead of glass doors.
- Luxury touches: Place heated towel bars near the enclosure and a wide bar beside the tub.
- Storage additions: Add shallow wall cabinets flanking each island and a lower drawer stack for daily grooming accessories
- Lighting layers: Pair vanity sconces at eye level at the islands with dimmable recessed overheads and consider LED accent lighting under the cabinets to visually “float” them.
- Warmth + safety: Extend electric floor heat through the main flooring area for a high-end touch.
